Summary:The story of Sandra Laing who, although born to white South Africans, was classified as black. After being expelled from a 'white' boarding school in Piet Retief she attended convent school for a short time then suddenly disappeared. Her parents disowned her and for 11 years there was no trace of her. The search ended successfully, she was found living in Tjarkastad, happily married to an African and in the process of being 'reclassified African."
