Summary:	Brennan is a cop with a short fuse, and when he shoots a small-time crook in cold blood he covers the shooting up as self defense. A young assistant D.A. is assigned to investigate and discovers that someone is covering for Brennan. Witnesses are murdered and a noose is tightening around somebody's neck- but whose?
