Summary: | Exhibition on hyperrealistic artist Hugo Salazar Chuquimango (b. Lima 1980). Mariano Querol describes Salazar's art in his introductory essay "For a moment, his art work transport us to that of (Hieronymus) Bosch, when mixing opposing colors he confronts horror with beauty, making the observer feel his own complex interiority while observing the artist's honest self. All the human contradictions have an expression in Salazar's work, he combines exquisiteness with rare, tenderness with revulsion, simplicity with inextricable, biotic, homosexuality, erotic, phobic and all the richness we either wish for or reject."
